Stop Motion Animation

Program Used: Windows Movie maker
Class: Media Studio: Imaging (Fall 2008)

Objective: Create a stop action animation using any methodology. This could simply be a series of animated gifs, as we did previously in Image Ready or a claymation project or a series of interrelated drawings on paper or screen that are put into the computer or... etc

Artist notes: As this was due two days before Halloween, I was already in a Halloween mind-set. I had just gotten back from a haunted hayride, and I really wanted to carve a pumpkin, but I didn't have one readily available. Instead, I found an apple on my desk and was inspired to create this stop motion animation. The audio clip is the Marilyn Manson cover of Tim Burton's "This Is Halloween." In retrospect, it would have looked better if I had had a tripod and if I had been more careful keeping the apple in a set position while I carved it between shots.
