About Me - Tiffany Hu

I am currently a junior at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the Product Design and Innovation (PDI) interdisciplinary program. The PDI program trains students to become innovative designers and leaders through basic and advanced classes, applications, and a wide range of design experiences. I am currently pursuing a dual BS in Mechanical Engineering and Design, Innovation, and Society (DIS).

I grew up in Saratoga, CA, where I taught myself how to code in HTML and CSS. In the summer of 2005 I worked as an intern at DesignWorks, a marketing and graphic design agency where I helped to redesign their web portfolio and clean up images for a flash animation for one of their clients. In the summer of 2006, I had an internship at Pertria, a real estate investment firm where I worked on special projects for the President and Director of Sales of the company. This past summer, I had an internship at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company in Sunnyvale, CA, where I supported central engineering and the 3D-Product Definition team to work towards streamlining processes and reduce error downstream.

At school, I am a TA for Engineering Processes and volunteer to teach LEGO Robotics to local elementary school students through the Center for Initiatives in Pre-College Education (CIPCE).
